Hi everyone,
I took a little break here to tend to my own deadlines, but I’m back again with deadlines for you too.
Before you read this month’s edition, I want to remind you that today marks 101 days of genocidal war on Gaza where 23,968 people have been killed and 60,582 injured. In this time, Israel has dropped 65,000 tonnes of bombs, killing entire family lineages and destroying cultural and environmental heritage and infrastructure. Because Israel is drastically limiting food, water, fuel and humanitarian aid from entering Gaza, people are dying of thirst, hunger (in what is now the world’s worst hunger crisis), and communicable diseases. These numbers came from this article in Al Jezeera News, you should read it if you haven’t already.
Keep protesting, keep calling, writing and faxing your representatives. Keep demanding a lasting ceasefire, a two-way arms embargo on Israel, to support South Africa’s case at the ICJ, to halt support of US and UK missile strikes in Yemen and end Canada’s complicity in this genocide. I’ve been looking to this resource document which is updated daily with news items and calls to action to support Palestine. Another action you can take is donating an e-sim in light of the telecommunications blackouts Gaza has been facing.
Here’s the opportunities roundup.
Free Palestine. ❤️🖤🤍💚
